Tehran is ready to restart atomic talks with the United States on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has announced.

The Iranian diplomat said solely negotiations worked, and revealed new appeals had been made by go-betweens to reopen discussions with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to authorize the global atomic watchdog to inspect bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Complex Course

Araghchi is navigating a difficult course since Iran does not want appear to be operating from a stance of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had emerged more resilient in military terms and psychologically from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel within its borders that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the stalemate in the earlier negotiations.

Earlier Talks Abruptly Terminated

The earlier sessions of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and acrimonious conclusion on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, attacked Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that ended with Donald Trump claiming the sites had been destroyed. Afterward, European countries used their right to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Magic Solution Suggested

Tehran representatives said they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with US participation could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have remained and the US could be certain that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the talks that US nuclear scientists could operate inside Iran, but that was a reasonable assumption of the consortium proposal. Officials stated on multiple occasions they had secured an understanding with the US representative the American negotiator only for the arrangement to disintegrate due to "opponents in the US".

Current Position

Tehran representatives said the cooperative arrangement was now no longer available, but it seems very probable the suggestion could be revived in some form if discussions restart.

Trump in recent days claimed he had been receiving messages that Iran sought to resume discussions, but in private Iran's diplomats claim they are not yet obtaining coherent offers from the United States either directly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been charged of non-responsiveness in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran says diplomacy is not part of a show.

Political Stance

In his remarks to the conference, aimed to paint the US as a hegemonic power that abuses the idea of worldwide standards, the foreign minister declared the two-week conflict demonstrated the conflict could not be settled by armed force. He asserted the strikes started with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were carried out with total Washington understanding and collaboration, making faith difficult to reestablish.

Dialogue Remains the Primary Answer

Araghchi said: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted dialogue; it was the United States and the Western nations that had always attempted to impose their desires during the discussions. Dialogue can still be active and remains the final resolution to address disagreements, but its criteria, guidelines and tenets must be followed."

"If they talk to the Iranian people with the tone of dignity and honor, they will obtain a reply in the identical approach."

Repair and Reconstruction

In what is described by Iranian officials as the battle of repair and rebuilding, the foreign minister said he was certain Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been reestablished. We learned numerous insights from this conflict; we have identified our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the adversary."

He stated: "We managed to survive this engagement. Our nuclear technology, which they intended to destroy, continues to exist. The facilities and machinery, if destroyed, will be reconstructed; what is important is the will of the nation of Iran and then the national cohesion that they aimed at, but did not succeed to shatter. The nation of Iran have become stronger, more united, and more endorsing of the government and the nation in the aftermath of this assault."
