I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
